Just like a photograph, a personal song will last a lifetime. It's an audible snapshot of where you are at a point in your life, how you got there and where you might be heading. It's a way to express yourself when words aren't enough, to mark and personalise occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and even your wedding day in a way that nothing else can. By working with me one-to-one, we can ensure that your song is right for you and that it says all the things you want it to... and the best bit? You can do this wherever you are in the world!

Here are some examples of finished requests
Matt asked me to write this as a surprise for his new wife, Kate. From reading through Matt's answers it was easy to gauge the 'tone' of their relationship and see just how lucky they felt to have each other. I was able to touch on how they first met, the details of how Matt proposed, and include how they 'are' as a couple. The song's title and theme for the chorus came to me after learning that they met through a popular online dating site. Matt requested that the song be a combination of loving and romantic but with hints of humour, and after learning that they were fans of Frank Turner, I added a 'folky' element in there too! This recording is a little more than what is included in the 'Basic Song' package as it features extra backing vocals, some additional bass guitar and subtle percussion.
Magda & Will asked for a song that was upbeat, lively and funny. 'Long Way Since Koko' tells of how they first met randomly on a night out. Soon after, they moved in together and quickly realised how perfect they were for one another. In the questionnaire, Magda & Will mentioned how they love travelling, being each others' beer-drinking buddies and owning Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in every
colour. They candidly show an admiring sense of humility when describing their own gripes with each other, such as Magda's road rage and Will's slow snail pace. This was great fun to write and is an example of the 'Basic Song' package.
